The owner of a compact, elegant Battersea apartment painted in pale aquamarine, wished to see her favourite work of art in a central position, while occasionally watching TV and entertaining guests around a dining table. The room had only 2.5 metres of free wall space remaining.

As we enjoy the combination of design, functionality and technical solutions, we accepted this challenge with enthusiasm.

The starting point of this project was the Picture Lift mechanism, which raises the artwork to reveal a recessed flat-screen TV. We designed a wall unit with sufficient depth to further accommodate a full-size folding dining table in solid oak. A system of pulleys and counterweights makes light work of setting the table up for use.
